GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
The Osanica River is located in the Goražde region and flows through the municipalities of Goražde and Foča. The Osanica River is formed by the confluence of the Trudanj stream and the Trševina stream at an elevation of 740 m above sea level. It flows into the Drina River below the village of Bogatići at an elevation of 365 m above sea level, near the settlement of Osanica. The total length of the river is 16,750 meters, with an elevation difference of 375 meters and an average slope of 22.5 meters per kilometer. The construction of 5 small hydropower plants is planned on the Osanica River, two of which are accumulation-derivation type, with a total capacity of 3.5 MW and an annual production of 13,482 MWh.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WATER INTAKE
This is a flow diversion type of a plant. The water intake is located at the mouth of the streams Trudanj and Trševina, at the height of 740 masl, and the operator is located at the height of 629 masl. The water intake is done at the bottom, i.e. by the Tyrolean type of water-intake with a settling-tank. After settling, the water sinks to the surge tank via a derivation reinforced concrete channel of the length of 1536 m. The water is then taken from the surge tank to the powerhouse, via a penstock of the length of 290 m and a diameter of 700 m.
